About the Artist

Eunah Cho (ECHO) is a contemporary visual artist with a focus in abstract painting. She works and presents her artwork in her studio based in Toronto, Canada.

She is currently creating a series of paintings: “Abyss”, "Dawn", “Dreaming Box”, "Eternity", “Meditation”, and “Timeless”.

Her artworks are not an outward representation of a thing, but a representation of ‘the stream of consciousness through image’. The most cardinal point of which she pursues in her paintings is the inseparable relation between content and form.

She works with oriental black ink, colored pigment, and acrylic with mixed media on Korean traditional handmade paper, “Hanji” collage on Canvas.

The most significant element in her abstract mode, as a way of representation of pure behavior, is the repetition of action.

She received her B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Kyung Hee University in South Korea. She worked and taught at several universities in South Korea for over 15 years.

She moved to Canada and presented her works in her studio in the north of  Toronto since 2003.

She presented 15 solo exhibitions and 26 international art fairs; and was selected for exhibitions over 300 times in Seoul, Toronto, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Zurich, Hong Kong, and more.

There are many of her artworks collected in public and private collections in South Korea, Canada and abroad. Her artwork can be viewed on her Gallery, Saatchi Art, and Instagram @eunahart
